Brantford’s ongoing issues with oversized truck loads damaging highway overpasses took a new turn Thursday morning when a truck hauling an excavator struck four bridges along Highway 403.
At approximately 10:39 a.m. on May 1, Brant OPP responded to reports of a red tractor-trailer traveling eastbound. The truck hit overpasses at Paris Road, Ewing Drive, Tollgate Road, and King George Road, with pieces of concrete reportedly falling onto the highway.
Ministry of Transportation crews have been dispatched to assess the damage, and while the highway remains open to traffic, motorists are urged to exercise caution when driving through the area.
