Brant and Norfolk County Residents Facing Impaired Driving, Drug, and Weapons Charges

BRANT COUNTY — A 60-year-old woman from Brant County is facing multiple charges following a single-vehicle crash on Brant School Road on the evening of Sunday, March 23.

According to Brant OPP, officers responded to the collision around 9:46 p.m. and subsequently arrested the driver, who was taken to the local detachment for testing.

She has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle

  • Failure to remain at the scene

  • Failure or refusal to comply with a demand

No injuries were reported in the incident.


NORFOLK COUNTY — Two individuals are facing a long list of charges after police executed a search warrant at a Delhi residence early Thursday morning as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

The Haldimand-Norfolk OPP Street Crime Unit, supported by the Canine Unit, Emergency Response Team, and Tactics and Rescue Unit, searched a home on Imperial Street just before 5 a.m. on March 20.

During the search, officers seized:

  • Suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine

  • Replica handguns and prohibited weapons

  • Canadian currency

  • Drug trafficking paraphernalia

  • A stolen all-terrain vehicle reported missing from another Norfolk location

Two people were taken into custody at the scene.

A 46-year-old Norfolk County woman is charged with:

  • Multiple weapons offenses

  • Several counts of possession of property obtained by crime

  • Drug trafficking charges

She is scheduled to appear in Simcoe court on April 22.

A 47-year-old Norfolk County man is facing similar charges, including:

  • Multiple weapons and drug trafficking offenses

  • Possession of property and proceeds obtained by crime

  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm/ammunition

  • Two counts of driving while under suspension

Both individuals remain in custody as the investigation continues.
