The Children’s Safety Village of Brant recently hosted a delightful Easter egg hunt, generously sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Brantford and Grandbridge Energy. Families and children gathered for this festive occasion, enjoying a fun-filled day of egg hunting and community spirit. While the event was free to attend, donations were warmly welcomed to support the valuable programs at the Safety Village.
This event held special significance as one of only two public fundraising events this year for the Children’s Safety Village of Brant. These events play a crucial role in maintaining the operations of the Elgin Street center, which serves as an educational hub for children in the community.
At the Safety Village, kindergarten students engage in a comprehensive police and fire safety program, learning essential skills in emergency situations. Grade 3 students benefit from a bicycle safety program, promoting safe practices on the roads. Additionally, children in Grade 4 participate in the engaging Science of Fire program, gaining insights into fire safety measures.
The Easter egg hunt not only brought joy to participants but also contributed to the ongoing success of these vital programs. It highlighted the community’s commitment to ensuring children’s safety and well-being while fostering a sense of unity and support.
